How to Use Card Tags (Review Cards by Tag)

Add tags to cards

Tags organize cards inside a deck. You can add them from the card editor, the Cards view, or the review menu's "Tag" action.

Review a subset

1. Open the deck's "Settings" section.
2. Choose "Tags".
3. Select the tags whose cards you want to include.
4. Check the matching-card count and start review.

Use "Select All" to include all available tag groups. The untagged option includes cards without ordinary tags. If expected cards are missing, check this filter and the deck menu's "Reset Filters" action.

Starred cards have a special tag you can select. Ignored cards are excluded from normal review; remove the ignored tag to bring them back.

Import tags

CSV supports comma-separated card tags in its third column. APKG imports include Anki note tags, and AlgoApp XML supports a tags attribute on each card. See CSV import and XML import.
