How to Delete Tags from Cards

Remove a tag from a card

1. Open the deck and its "Cards" view.
2. Open the card and find its tags.
3. Use the remove control on the tag you no longer want.

In the card grid, you can also edit the Tags cell and save the grid changes. Where the selection toolbar offers "Remove Tags", select several cards to remove a tag from them together.

Removing a tag changes which tag filters include those cards; it does not delete the cards. Removing a tag from one card leaves that tag on other cards.

The special ignored tag excludes a card from normal review. Remove it if you want the card to be reviewed again.
