How do I create new cards in a deck?

Create a card

1. Open a deck you own or have permission to edit.
2. Choose "New Card" from the deck menu, or use the new-card button in its "Cards" view.
3. Fill in the fields and check the preview.
4. Choose "Save".

The deck's configuration determines which fields are available. Rich Text fields support formatted content; specialized fields provide audio, images, code, TeX, and other card types. Older decks may ask you to choose a layout.

If the card creation controls are unavailable on a shared deck, check whether you have editing permission. For a deck you own, "Edit Deck" lets you configure its fields.
