What are Study Groups and when should I use them?
Share and study with a group
Study Groups let a class, team, or group of friends share decks and folders in one place. Shared content is available to group members; creating a group does not publish a deck to everyone.
Get started
- Open "Study Groups" and create a group.
- Use its invitation options to invite members. Handle join requests in the group when approval is required.
- Open the group and choose "Share" to select decks or folders. You can also share from a deck or folder menu and choose the group.
Choose editing permissions
A deck can be shared for study, or with "Allow Editing" enabled for eligible decks. Group owners can manage existing shares and their permissions from "Manage".
For shared folders, the available permissions are:
- "Can study": members can study the included decks.
- "Can edit cards": members can also change card content.
- "Can edit and organize": members can also add decks and organize subfolders.
Folder sharing includes its descendants and later additions. Permissions apply to the contents of that shared folder. Public decks are study-only.
Each person keeps their own study progress. Editing a shared card changes shared content, so choose permissions according to how you want the group to collaborate.
